EOX. The new SIGMA e-bike series
It’s finally here! The starting signal for the EOX® e-bike series has sounded. It is a completely new product line in an area in which SIGMA SPORT was previously not represented. The line is the EOX® REMOTE 500 control unit and the EOX® VIEW 1200 display for e-bikes. The associated SIGMA EOX® app complements the range of services.
Harmonised EOX® components allow us to address the needs of e-bikers individually and adapt the product perfectly to the bike in question. This ensures simple operation with an enhanced design and maximised fun for the biker.
The first components to be delivered have already been installed on Nox Cycles e-mountain bikes and are being used on streets and trails.
EOX® REMOTE 500
The Remote is the centrepiece of the series. The ergonomic, user-friendly control unit allows the biker to keep his hand on the handlebar. This is a great riding safety advantage for a variety of e-bike types, from MTBs to touring bikes.
The EOX® REMOTE 500 is equipped with an ambient light sensor and a Bluetooth Smart interface. A multi-coloured LED indicator shows the most important e-bike information even without the display. It can also directly control the bike’s full beam and dimmed beam. When the Remote is connected to the SIGMA EOX® app via BLE, it records the tour and logs all of the e-bike data. The rider can thus see such information as distance, travel time, the route on the map, and various performance-specific values.
SIGMA EOX® App
The app for the EOX® Remote is available for free in the App Store and the Google Play Store. It records your tour and logs all of your e-bike data. This enables you at any time to see on the map not only where, how far, and how fast you have travelled, but also where the drive has supported you the most. You can share your tour on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and WhatsApp. Synchronising with komoot and Strava is also possible. The market has so far not seen such a comprehensive e-bike app.
What is special here is not just the quantity and variety of data that you can log and display individually, but also the option of selecting the data in the EOX® VIEW 1200 display with the app.
EOX® VIEW 1200
Our EOX® VIEW 1200’s slim design builds on the success of our SIGMA bike computers. The e-bike display is remarkable for its good readability and intuitive interface. We have also paid a great deal of attention to creating a slim, reduced design that can be integrated subtly into the overall bike profile. The bottom EOX® VIEW 1200 display area can be adjusted with the app. The selection of available values varies according to e-bike system.
To ensure that no e-biker gets lost on a tour, the on top display offers navigation options that use komoot. If you are logged in to your komoot account and select a track, the EOX® display shows the relevant turn-off directions.
