Spanish cross-country specialist Sergio Mantecon has been a SIGMA brand ambassador since 2022. In his career so far, the 38-year-old has been successful in World Cups and mountain bike races all over the world. He loves testing himself against the best riders in World Cup races. “I love the limitless freedom of cycling,” he says. “My favourite trails are technically challenging. I always have the reliable SIGMA bike computer with me. It is light and compact and lets me keep an eye on all important data.”

What motivates you to get on the bike every day?
Racing with the best riders in the world!
How did you get into cycling?
At first, I just used my bike to get from A to B. Later I started racing, and I had a lot of fun.
In one word, describe the feeling you get when you cycle.
Limitless freedom and fresh air!
What was the most difficult moment in your career?
A difficult moment for me was when I was not selected for the Olympic team.
Your favourite drink during a coffee break?
Coffee, of course!

I love technically challenging trails

A great view and coffee breaks!
What would a perfect day on the bike be like for you?
A racing day!
