For smarter bike navigation: ROX 4.0 and ROX 2.0 now with intelligent re-routing and SIGMA’s own turn-by-turn directions.
Users of the ROX 2.0 and ROX 4.0 GPS bike computers and the SIGMA RIDE app can look forward to a major feature update. Dynamic re-routing, map matching and an improved track zoom make navigation even more comfortable.
Neustadt an der Weinstraße, 01 September 2023: SIGMA SPORT has optimised the navigation experience of the ROX 4.0 and ROX 2.0 GPS bike computers and the compatible SIGMA RIDE app with practical new features. The ROX bike computers now feature dynamic re-routing and more comfortable track handling. The SIGMA RIDE app impresses with its own turn-by-turn directions, a track search function and optimised training views.
Smart route calculation
Cyclists who are on the road with the ROX 2.0 or ROX 4.0 and plan their tour with the Search & Go function of the SIGMA RIDE app can now use the intelligent re-routing. If they spontaneously deviate from the suggested route, a new route to the destination is automatically calculated when the connection to the SIGMA RIDE app is active, instead of being redirected back to the track.
SIGMA’s own turn-by-turn directions
Users can now use the so-called “map matching function” and add turn-by-turn directions when importing or creating their own tracks. To do this, the track is sent to the SIGMA server via the SIGMA RIDE app, where it is enriched with SIGMA’s own turn-by-turn directions. Turn-off instructions can also be added to the generated track after a ride. The tracks can be called up quickly and clearly at any time via a new search bar.
Improved user experience
The user experience of the SIGMA RIDE app has also been improved. Within the sport profiles, the training views have been optimised. In addition, the sport profile can now be changed while riding. All activities on the device can now also be managed via the SIGMA RIDE app. After the ride, cyclists can share their tour with the community on social media channels such as Instagram as a post, story or message.
